Welcome to February and the Year of the Fire Horse Family!

This 100th Black History Month we honor the giants who built the roads beneath our feet while we actively author the next chapters of our liberation.

Looking at our history, we see that the present is an echo. From the frontlines of the 1960s to the streets of Minnesota today, we recognize the same cycles attempting to shadow our movements and wall in our imaginations. We feel the weight of families severed by human-made lines and the systematic stripping of the resources meant to fuel our creative survival.

While this burden is heavy, the pressure is fuel. Like those who came before us, we remain vigilant in the fight with our bodies and our hearts. These challenges demand our highest vision; in this climate, our purpose is the North Star that keeps our eyes on the prize.

We refuse to be erased. We hold our ground through our respect for the fire of those raising their voices and a joy that we transform into a weapon. Through community care and rhythmic defiance, Black Creativity remains the evidence of genius that will never be silenced.
