Curated by Ashara Ekundayo & Omo Misha On view in Chicago through June 30 This traveling exhibition curated by Ashara Ekundayo and kicked off in Harlem, New York for Baldwinâs 99th birthday and traveled to the New Orleans African-American Museum and Joyce Gordon Gallery in Oakland, CA, before making its way to the heart of Chicago. Additionally, it now includes an A/R component activated by Black Terminus that allows an interactive experience with selected works, bringing Baldwin and his words to life through Sabrinaâs art. Join us online for a series of IGlive studio visits ++ a 1-day Pop-up Art Exhibition at our AfroPortals Project Space & Archive at the Black Cultural Zoneâs Liberation Park! Ricky Aliae is a self-proclaimed Mystic Artist, deeply devoted to his craft and committed to holding space for the sacred within his work. Over the years, he has meticulously curated a collection of artifacts, uncovering buried narratives and forgotten wisdom in the recesses of the mind. His collection of doors serves as visual recordings of meditative dialogues, visions, and dreams, cultivated over a 7-year period of engaging with the Spirit in introspection and reflection. These doors, symbolic tablets inscribed with archetypes, act as a cipher transmitting the knowledge of self to conscious minds seeking liberation.

The Oakland Public Conservatory of Music is offering four, one-week music intensives for girls, non-binary, and gender-expansive youth!
