Blessed Be, As we come to the end of 2024 and reflect on a year that has been as inspiring as it has been devastating, we are honoring the vision, the work, and output that Artist As First Responder has offered to the community inside of this prodigious time. Thank you to every creator, supporter, donor, and every #ArtistResponder that joined us in this memory work. We are very proud of ourselves and our agility, buoyancy and masterful creativity! This infographic serves as a witnessing, and a report out to our Beloved community and offers a glimpse at our embodied commitment to supporting the socio-economic, political, and cultural power of Black and Indigenous communities, all communities of color, and all oppressed peoples through arts praxis. As we move into 2025 AAFR remains steadfast and ready with our hearts and hands open to receiving and giving love, care, beauty, kindness and compassion as artists, cultural workers, archivists, and healers. We wish and we conjure. May Our Ancestors Be Pleased.
