The 2025 AfroPortals Project Space and Archive pop-up series is a season of art, dialogue, and connection at Liberation Park in East Oakland.

On select Saturdays throughout the summer, the AfroPortals pop-up will activate our two dynamic spaces: the Cosmos Portal and the Gold Portal.

Step into the Gold Portal (a partnership with @sharedstudios) to engage in live conversations with communities across the globe — from São Vicente, Brazil to Lagos, Nigeria to Johannesburg, South Africa, and beyond — weaving together dialogue around art, music, liberation, and everything in between.

Next door, our Cosmos Portal will showcase powerful new work by these visionary women artists, inviting you to experience creativity as a living, breathing force.

Released in 2023, the album won Best R&B Album at the 2024 Wammie Music Awards and amassed over 20,000 streams within its first year, a testament to its heartfelt lyrics and emotive delivery. Kyaira’s music showcases a deep connection to her community, with collaborations that span Baltimore, PG County, and beyond.
