Crochet Jam & Sip with Ramekon O’Arwisters

·Tuesday, November 14 · 5:30pm-8:00pm·

On the occasion of the Fall exhibition “Tracking Im[mortality] // landscapes on safety” join exhibiting interdisciplinary artist Ramekon O’Arwisters and Saint Joseph’s Art Society Curator-In-Residence Ashara Ekundayo for creative meditation and conversation over libations via Crochet Jam. Aimed to engage the public to think differently about the role and the power of art within community with no attempt made to dictate the creative process nor judge the finished project, Crochet Jam is meditative, liberating, and empowering and was created by O'Arwisters in 2012 as a community-art event rooted in a cherished childhood memory that's steeped in the African-American tradition of weaving in a calm and non-judgmental environment without rules or limitations.
